Mary Evelyn Snodgrass, 84, of Liberty died at her residence, on Friday, April 19, 2013. She was born on Thursday, August 23, 1928, in Union County to Vernon and Mary Adelaide Norton Horn. She graduated from Richmond High School with the Class of 1947. On Friday, June 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to George F. Snodgrass who died Saturday, April 29, 2006. Evelyn was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Ladies Republican Club, and attended the Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church, all of Liberty. She was a homemaker and known for her love of working in her flowers. Evelyn is survived by a son, Terry L. Snodgrass and his wife, Karen of Liberty; a brother, Harry Horn and his wife, Henrietta of Richmond; two grandchildren and five great –grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years; a son: Donald Snodgrass; great – grandson: David Tyler Heckman; two brothers: Everett Horn and Vernon Horn Jr.; and a sister: Shirley Mullens. A public memorial graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013, at West Point Cemetery in Liberty with Rev. Scott Bell officiating.
