Mary Jo Rowland

Mary Jo Rowland, 42 of Connersville, died Sunday, March 3, 2012 at Fayette Regional Health System in Connersville. Mary was born May 7, 1969 in Connersville to John and Shirley Gray Rowland. She attended Connersville High School and had worked at area nursing homes as an aide. Mary enjoyed music, tanning, boating and fishing. Mary is survived by her fiancé: David S. Sherwood of Connersville; daughter: Ashley Shelton of Connersville; son: Ricky Ross Shelton of Connersville; her father John Rowland and his wife, Theria of West Harrison Indiana; Brother and sister-in-law David E. Rowland and Mindy of Connersville; several nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her Mother, a sister: Rita Fay Rowland-Padgett and her grandparents. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville with evangelist Karlene Gray, officiating. Cremation will follow.
