Mary Ann Shelton

Mary Ann Shelton, 71, of Franklin County, died Tuesday morning, September 20, 2011, at her residence. Mary Ann was born February 13, 1940 in Reading, Ohio to Paul and Ollie Plummer Fox and graduated from high school in 1957. She had been employed as the office manager at Jerry Kanter Accounting in Cincinnati, Ohio. On May 24, 1986, she was married in Cincinnati to Morris E. Shelton. Mary Ann loved to travel and enjoyed the outdoors. She is survived by her husband, a daughter: Annette Edwards and her husband, Leon of Richmond; two grandchildren: Brittany and Damen Pennington; the Bolser Family; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Bolser; two sisters: Clara Lawson and Dottie Zimmerman; and three brothers: Charles, Pete and Clyde. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Charles Shelton of London, Kentucky, officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday where memorial contributions may be made to Reid Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
