Matthew Lee Lewis

Matthew Lee Lewis, 28, of Logansport, died Sunday, October 2, 2016, at his residence. Matthew was born in Fayette County, October 10, 1987, to Jerry Lewis and Sabrina B. Stewart Lewis. He attended Manual High School in Indianapolis and later earned his general education diploma. Matthew was a kind, generous and loving person. He was an accomplished tattoo artist, enjoyed fishing and loved animals. He was currently employed with a local farm. Matthew is survived by his children: Matthew Lee Lewis, Jr. of Indianapolis; Taylor Anne Lewis of Logansport; his father and step-mother: Jerry and Gilda Lewis of Connersville; his mother: Sabrina Lewis of Indianapolis; his maternal grandmother: Betty Stewart of Connersville; his paternal grandparents: Jack and Linda Lewis of Connersville; a step-brother: Harley Lewis of Connersville; aunts, uncles and cousins. Matthew’s maternal grandfather, Bill Stewart, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 729 Central Avenue, Connersville, with Rev. Doug Barton officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the church from 2 p.m. Saturday until the time of service.
