Michael Robert Fink

Michael Robert Fink, 39, of Richmond, died Thursday, February 25, 2016, in the emergency room at Reid Health Hospital, Richmond. Michael was born in Richmond, September 19, 1976 to Robert Eugene and Kathy Jo Cook Fink. He was a member of Saint Gabriel Church and attended Saint Gabriel Elementary School. In 1995, he graduated from Connersville High School. He had also learned machine tool technology while attending Connersville Area Vocational School. Michael loved to cook and enjoyed fishing. He was a dedicated father and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon. Michael was employed as the cook at Cole’s Dining and Spirits in Cambridge City. He had also worked at Rogers Engineering in Cambridge City, Forest Hills Country Club and Cracker Barrel Restaurant, both in Richmond. Michael is survived by his high school sweetheart and life-long companion: Jessica Dixon; his daughters: Alexis Taylor Fink, Adrienne Jade Fink and Allyson Reece Fink; his mother: Kathy Jo Cook Fink LeGere of Connersville; his siblings: Justin Allen, John Dale LeGere and his companion, Krista Robinson, all of Fayette County; Robbie Fink and his wife, Megan of Charlotte, North Carolina; Holly LeGere Gettinger of Baltimore, Ohio; his paternal grandfather: Robert Fink of Indianapolis; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father: Robert “Bob” Fink; his siblings: Brian A. Fink and Shirelda LeGere; his paternal grandmother: Patricia Hughes; and his maternal grandparents: Gail and Glenna Bostic Cook. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Jay Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in Village Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the family.
