Michael Blue Scott Gentry

Connersville, IN Michael Blue Scott Gentry, 6 year old son of Jeffery Scott and Ashley Lynn Asbury Gentry, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, in the emergency room at Fayette Regional Health System following an accident in the Whitewater River near Market Street. Michael was born in Connersville, October 11, 2004, and had just graduated from kindergarten at Eastview Elementary School. Michael loved to be outside, riding his bike, mowing grass and weedeating. He also enjoyed collecting knives. Michael is survived by his parents, his sister: Dakota Blue Gentry, maternal grandparents: Richard and Linda Wright of Connersville; maternal great-grandfather: Ralph Cheek and his wife, Sorina of Ontario, Canada; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Michael is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Michael A. and Debbie Gentry; his maternal grandfather: Walter Blue Asbury; paternal great-grandmother: Elma Gentry and maternal great-grandmother: Agnes Isaacs. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday where memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
