Michael E. Jordan, 41, of the Connersville area, died early Saturday morning, October 8, 2016, in Liberty.
A Fayette County native, Michael was born August 28, 1975 to Jerry Pflug and Cynthia P. Jordan. He was a 1994 graduate of Connersville High School and was a certified Emergency Medical Technician. Mike had volunteered for several years with the Fayette County Emergency Management Team and was certified in many areas. His certifications in emergency management earned him several citations from the Governor’s Office. Michael attended the Deliverance Tabernacle in Connersville. He was an accomplished body artist and liked to participate in demolition derbies. Michael was a handyman who could fix or build anything.
Michael is survived by his children: Gage Michael Jordan and Kerstin Lynn Jordan, both of Connersville; Matthew Edmund Jordan of Richmond; his Mother: Cynthia P. Jordan of Connersville; his sister: Serra-Mykel M. Webb and her husband, Zachary of Connersville; his maternal grandmother: Janet K. Jordan of Connersville; a niece and nephew, cousins, aunts and uncles. Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Ovie E. Jordan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Merle Seeley officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of service.
