Michael Ray Mcfarland

Michael Ray McFarland, 65, died December 4, 2023. Michael was born January 29, 1958, in Connersville, Indiana, to Dennis and Mona J. Harsh McFarland. On February 19, 1980, Michael enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the A Company, 2nd Battalion, 39th Infantry at Fort Lewis, Washington. He loved woodworking, fishing, mushroom hunting and anything outdoors. Michael was Group Lead for Schneider Electric for many years. Survivors include, his fiancé, Jenny Dunaway of Connersville; daughter, Valerie Smith- of Colorado; sons, Joshua (Mandy) Suttles of Louisiana, Jeremy (Miranda) of Richmond and Kristopher Suttles of Connersville; sisters, Melody D. (Eric) Scott of Liberty and Denise Nobbe of Connersville; two honorary sisters: Janet Barrett and Joan Messer; uncle Johnny (Rose) McFarland of Kennewick, Washington; aunts Marsha Moore and Armentia Proctor both of Connersville; nieces, nephew, cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Patrick D. McFarland, Dennis L. McFarland Jr. and Matthew S. McFarland; sister, Diana L. Rowland; two special uncles: Dalbert Harsh and Martin Lee Harsh; brother-in-law, Mark Nobbe and ex-wife, Melody Bowman McFarland.
