Mona Beatrice Jolley, 75, formerly of Eaton, Ohio, died early Sunday morning, October 28, 2012, in Millville, Ohio.
Beatrice was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, June 7, 1937, to Roy Sexton and Creasy Taylor White and attended school there. On December 12, 1956, she was married in College Corner to Cecil M. Jolley. Beatrice was an active member of the Sommerville Baptist Church for over 55 years where she had taught Sunday School and played the piano and guitar. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crafts and crocheting. Beatrice most enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and attending family events.
Beatrice is survived by four daughters and their spouses: Gail Gilbert and Amos of Gratis, Ohio, Patty Guthrie and Tim of Eaton, Ohio, Sandy Cason and Mike of Oxford, Ohio, Teresa Faber and Frank of Hamilton, Ohio; five grandchildren: Joe Jolley and his wife, Justeen of Kenosha, Wisconsin; Joshua and Brian Bommer, both of Hamilton, Ohio; Luke Cason of Oxford, Ohio; Jade Guthrie of Eaton, Ohio; three great-grandchildren: Sydney, Colton and McKenna Jolley; her sister: Ollie Bowling and her husband, Tilford of Liberty; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years who died June 15, 2012 and a brother, Charles White.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, College Corner, Ohio. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery, West College Corner, Indiana. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday where memorial contributions may be made to the Sommerville Baptist Church.
