Connersville resident, Nancy L. Clark, 84, died late Wednesday evening, September 6, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
A Connersville native, she was born May 16, 1933 to Russell and Helen M. Owens Showalter. Following her graduation from Connersville High School with the class of 1951, she was married on June 16, 1951 to Wayne E. Clark. She supported her Christian faith as a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and was an avid reader. Helen had been employed at H.H. Robertson. She loved animals, especially her cats and enjoyed the outdoors and long walks.
Nancy is survived by her children: David A. Clark of Connersville and Janet L. Clark of Fishers; her siblings and their spouses: Donald Showalter and Rosina of Liberty, Jeanie Selke and Nolen of Connersville; her grandchildren: Vanna Galler, Bartley, Chad and Tara Clark; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, her son: Gary W. Clark who died October 25, 2014; and her brother, Danny Showalter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. Malcolm Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery, section L, Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Monday until the time of service.
