Nancy L. Holland

Nancy L. Holland, 85, of Glenwood, died Christmas Day, December 25, 2018, at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Florida. Nancy was born in Connersville, May 13, 1933 to Vernon and Ethel Porter Wyer. Following her graduation from Connersville High School in 1951, she was married at Central Christian Church on May 27, 1952, to Thomas L. Holland and they moved to Glenwood. Nancy was a loving wife and mother. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed going for walks with friends. She and Tom had fun square dancing and camping. She was an avid reader and liked to quilt and crochet. Nancy was a member of the Our Other Sisters Club and had attended the Orange Church of the Cross. Nancy is survived by her husband of over sixty-six years, her children and their spouses: Thomas K. Holland and Cindy of Glenwood, Pamela L. Stamm of Kokomo, David W. Holland and Tamera of Goshen, Stephen E. Holland and Kim of Connersville; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Joe Stamm and Snezana of Plainfield, Jill Hewitt and Wesley of Kokomo, Amber Holland of Indianapolis, Aaron Holland and Heather of Goshen, Adam Holland and Keisha of Rushville, Andrew Holland of Goshen and Haley Holland of Gilbert, Arizona; nine great-grandchildren: Ethan, Samantha and Mason Hewitt; Jacob, Nathan and Matthew Stamm; Reese Holland, Brently and Charlie Holland; her brother: William Wyer and his wife, Arlene of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son-in-law: Jeff Stamm; her infant grandson: Craig Thomas Holland; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Roy and Grace Holland. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Stan Howard of Connersville officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
