Norma M. (Kidd) Corder, 93, of Connersville passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27th surrounded by her loving family at Reid Healthcare in Richmond, IN.
Norma was born on April 6, 1928 in Alquina to Forest and Gladys Kidd. On April 6, 1977, she was married to Victor Corder in Campbell, TN, who precedes her in death.
Norma graduated from Alquina High School with the class of 1946 and was a member of the Alquina United Methodist Church for many years.
Norma is a retiree from Stant Manufacturing after many years of employment. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Hoosier Corners square dance club in Richmond, IN. Norma enjoyed planting flowers at her home and traveling to see lighthouses, covered bridges and round barns throughout the country. Norma was an avid Indiana Pacers fan and she rarely missed watching a Pacer’s basketball game.
She is survived by her son Myron Hobbs, daughter-in-law Judy Hobbs, brother-in-law, Charles Hobbs, and many nieces and nephews that will dearly miss her.
Besides her husband, Victor, she is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Bernice Hobbs, two brothers and their spouses, Forest (Bud) and Charlotte Kidd, Willis and Linda Kidd and an infant sister, Laverna Kidd.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Rob Judd of the Alquina United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions can be made to the Alquina United Methodist Church or the Alquina Blue Arrows Park.
