Patsy Joy Sellers, 72, of Liberty, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at University Hospital in Cincinnati.
Patsy was born in Hamilton, Ohio to James, Sr. and Marvel Black Kamp on January 27, 1939. In 1957 she graduated from Short High School and went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from IU East. Patsy was married to Jesse Clark Sellers, Jr. on November 16, 1963 at the First Presbyterian Church in Liberty. She worked at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital for 42 years, working in every department expect obstetrics. She was the Director of the Same Day Surgery and oversaw the department from construction to completion, and was the Head Nurse of the Emergency Room. Patsy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Liberty, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 49, and Emmaus Community in Richmond.
Survivors include her husband; daughters and sons-in-law: Karyn and Dondee Clevenger, of Carmel; Melissa and Greg Davis, of Liberty; brother and sister-in-law: James, Jr. and Jane Kamp, of Columbus; sister: Peggy Seeley and her companion, Bill Rogers, of Great Falls, Montana; seven grandchildren: Parker Davis and his wife, Kaylin, of Camp Legeune, North Carolina; Cailin Davis, of Liberty; Ben Clevenger; Emily Clevenger, both of Carmel; Sarah Sellers Roberts, of Dayton; Rebecca Sellers Clark, of Centerville; Samuel Sellers, of Richmond; several nieces and nephews; two beloved dogs: Buttons and Beau.
Preceding her in death are her parents and an infant daughter, Melinda, who died in 1967.
Memorial services will be conducted Monday, December 26, 2011 at 6 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Liberty with Reverend Dawn Gold officiating. Friends may visit at the church from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
