Pauline Hazelrigg, 87, of Connersville, died Tuesday evening, April 2, 2013, at Caroleton Manor Nursing Center.
A Connersville native, Pauline was born March 27, 1926, the only child of Eugene H. and Ruth Jinks Jarvis. In 1944, she graduated from Connersville High School. Pauline had worked in clerical positions at McQuay-Norris and American Kitchens until 1947 and on November 26, 1947 she was married in Connersville to Leslie C. Hazelrigg who died January 8, 1993. She and her husband were active members of the Connersville Elks. Pauline had also been employed at H.H. Robertson and Production Products until her retirement in 1981. Pauline enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the world and was an avid euchre and bridge player. She was a member of the Connersville Chapter #346 Order of the Eastern Star and Eti Pi Kappa Sorority.
Pauline is survived by her children and their spouses: Les Hazelrigg and Cheryl of Orlando, FL; Paula Faries and Michael of Oakland City; Jeff Hazelrigg and Lisa of Connersville; two grandchildren: Brian and Jordan Hazelrigg; brother-in-law: Keith Hazelrigg and his wife, Carol of Houston, TX; sister-in-law: Betty Hazelrigg of Arlington, TX; nieces and nephews.
Pauline’s parents and her husband of 45 years preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. Mitch Coggin of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Diabetes Support Group.
