Peggy Mae Patton, 69, of Connersville died Wednesday morning, August 19, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
A Connersville native, Peggy was born February 25, 1946 to Frank H. and Opal Marie Harrell Winters and was a 1964 graduate of New Salem High School in Rush County. On September 4, 1964 she married Pete Patton at the First Church of the Nazarene. Peggy had been employed at Wells Singer Sewing Center for fourteen years and the Fayette County Public Library for eleven years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. In her leisure, Peggy enjoyed sewing, crafting and working in her vegetable and flower gardens.
In addition to her husband of 51 years, Peggy is survived by her son: Timothy Patton and his wife, Tricia of Rushville; her son-in-law: Bruce Pepple of Arcanum, Ohio; her grandchildren: Jacob Alan Pepple; Abigail Lorraine Harris; her step-granddaughters: Alexandria Isaacs and Lauren Showalter; three step-great-granddaughters: Sophya, Pyper and Aleyce; her brother: Murray Winters and his wife, Ann of Wheelersburg, Ohio; her brothers-in-law and their wives: Roy Patton and Diana, Harold Edward Patton and Marilyn, all of Richmond; several nieces and nephew
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her daughter: Angela Kay Pepple; her sisters: June Schoentrup and Marilyn Huth.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. Robert E. Lee officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon Saturday until the time of service.
