Phyllis J. Jenkins, 71, of Connersville, died Tuesday evening, July 26, 2016, at Heritage House of Connersville.
Phyllis was born in Richmond, Kentucky on January 27, 1945 to Lucian and Donna Mae Willis Collins. She attended Connersville area schools and the Full Gospel Holiness Church. Phyllis had been employed at Sperry Rubber near Brookville, Ford Electronics and most recently as a house manager for Residential CRF in Connersville. She enjoyed music, singing and caring for her animals. Phyllis cherished the time she spent with her family and was a second Mom to her siblings.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Paul, whom she married in December of 2000 in Tennessee; her siblings and their spouses: Pam Lainhart of Richmond, Eugene Lainhart and Catherine of Clermont, Florida; Mack Lainhart and Sandy; Dale Lainhart and Kathi; Dempsey Lainhart and Judy, all of Connersville; Terry Lainhart and Dawn of Centerville; Jan Bennett and Mike; Myrna Baldwin and Cliff; Bonita Lainhart, all of Connersville; sister-in-law: Jean Collins of Connersville; several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Lucian Collins; her mother: Donna Mae Lainhart; her step-father: Floyd Lainhart and her brother: Ronnie Collins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Friday at the Full Gospel Holiness Church, 1109 West 10th Street, with Pastor Jeff Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in Little Memory Church Cemetery, Sunman. Friends may visit at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
