Raymond “Ray” McLaughlin, 81, of Dayton, died Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012, at Forest View Care and Rehabilitation Center, Dayton. Ray was born in Oxford on February 3, 1931 to Russell and Ina Hendricks McLaughlin. He was a member of the Waco Baptist Church in Waco, Kentucky. He had resided in College Corner and moved to Dayton in 1947. Ray had been employed as the elevator operator at Goodwill in Dayton for many years. Ray is survived by a daughter: Linda Bowling of Eaton; two sons: Jimmy and John McLaughlin, both of Dayton; his twin brother: Roy McLaughlin and his wife, Helen of College Corner; another sister-in-law: Hilda McLaughlin of Oxford; and his caregiver: Mary Estep of Dayton. In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by two brothers: Harold and Russell McLaughlin. Public graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at College Corner Cemetery with Pastor Dean Van Winkle officiating. There will be no public visitation, Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
