Richard Lee Henry Jr.

Richard Lee Henry, Jr., 45 of Connersville, died Saturday evening, October 26, 2013, at his residence. A Connersville native, Richard was born April 18, 1968, to Richard Lee, Sr. and Sharon K. Hamilton Henry. He began playing basketball in kindergarten and continued through his graduation in 1986 from Connersville High School. Richard was named ‘Most Valuable Player” of the CHS Varsity team in 1986. He had a deep affection for animals and wildlife. His passion was fishing and mushroom hunting. For fifteen years, he was a heavy equipment operator with Morris Excavating. Richard is survived by his daughter: Alexis Kay Henry of Connersville; his grandson: Jace McKay Tibbot; his parents of Connersville; two sisters and their spouses: Sherri Rybolt and Nick of Connersville, Judy Easley and Chris of Las Vegas, Nevada; aunts: Rebecca Moore of Liberty, Debra Barnes of Connersville; uncle: Ray Moore of Liberty; several nieces and nephews. Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville is in charge of the arrangements.
