Richard Keith Suzuki, 33, of Connersville, died Saturday morning, April 11, 2015, in western Fayette County.
Richard was born in Connersville, December 5, 1981 to Richard A. and Kathryn S. Kehl Suzuki. He attended Culver Military Academy from 1997 to 1999 where he was a member of the baseball and basketball teams. In 2000, Richard graduated from Connersville High School where he played baseball. He enjoyed tutoring students in calculus and chemistry while attending Culver and following graduation, he attended Ball State University, Evansville University and Ivy Tech. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended Park Place Church of God. He was an outdoorsman that liked to hunt and fish in his free time.
Richard is survived by his mother: Kathryn S. Suzuki of Connersville; his maternal grandmother: Lillian M. Kehl of Fayette County; his father: Richard A. Suzuki; his sister: Melissa Day and her husband, Jason of Fishers; aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Among those preceding Richard in death, include his maternal grandfather: Keith Kehl; his brother: Mark Mullins; his uncles: David and Robert Kehl; and his paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Park Place Church of God, 3025 N. Waterloo Road, with Rev. Shawn O’Connor, of Park Place Church of God, officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Burial Grounds in Rush County. Friends may visit at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the church.
