Robert Gene Seals

Robert G. "Bob" Seals, 70 of Liberty, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He had been under his physician’s care but his death was unexpected. Bob was born in Connersville to Jesse and Stella Shockey Seals on November 30, 1945. He attended school in College Corner. On January 19, 1988, Bob married the love of his life, Nila A. Vest, in Oxford, Ohio. He worked at Miami University for thirty-two years retiring in 2003. Bob enjoyed stock-car driving where he was champion for two years, wrestling, tractor pulls, spending time with his family and his church family. Bob was a member of the Bible Believers Baptist Church in Liberty where he also served as a trustee. In addition to his wife of twenty-eight years, Bob is survived by five step-children and their spouses: Ronald Wade Moore and Lynn, Melanie Jayne Allen, Elbert Darrin Moore and Marie, Jobie Lee Moore and Doris, Jason Allen Moore and companion Lisa Weller; six step-grandchildren: Tyler and Travis Moore, Andrew, Audrey, and Dylan Harsh, Missy Allen and Brandy Moore; four step-great-grandchildren; one sister: Joyce Ezsol of TN; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother, and a step-grandson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty with Rev. Andy Price of the Bible Believer’s Baptist Church Officiating. Interment will follow in Dunlapsville Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
