Rosemary Luking Card, 60, passed away Wednesday morning at her home. Her death was unexpected. Rosemary was born on April 18, 1962 at Fayette Memorial Hospital. She was the ninth child of Lowell F. and Elizabeth McCarthy Luking. Rosemary graduated from Connersville High School in 1980. She majored in art and graduated from Ball State University in 1984. On February 7, 1987 Rosemary married Reamond Jay Card in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was employed in the graphic arts department at the University of Cincinnati hospital. In 1990 she and Jay moved to the family farm in Fayette County, Indiana. Above all, Rosemary loved being a mother to her two sons. She enjoyed her family, art, music and the farm. She told her sons to enjoy the “donut hole” moments on life. Rosemary is survived by her husband of 35 years Jay, her son’s Reamond Nathan Card of Connersville and Sean H. Card, D.V.M. in Ohio. Rosemary is also survived by her 7 brothers and sisters: Mary Anne Morris, Beth Luking, Gene (Debbie) Luking, Joe (Johnie) Luking, Charlene (Larry) Wood all of Connersville, Meg Luking of Richmond, IN and Laura (Peter) Jamison of Indianapolis, IN. She is survived by 18 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, a brother William H. Luking, a brother in law Sam Morris and her mother in law Josephine Card. At Rosemary's request, private services will be conducted following cremation at the family's convenience. Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville has been entrusted with her arrangements.
