Ruth L. Morgason

Ruth L. Morgason, 77, of Connersville, died Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Lincoln Centers-East where she had resided the past six years. Ruth was born January 31, 1935 in Morris, to Edward Phillip and Bertha Louise Foreman Hahn. She was a member of St. Gabriel Church and had lived in the area for most of her adult life. Ruth liked fishing, playing pool and bowling. For many years, she raised pet Parakeets and Cockatiels. In her leisure, she liked to ride her bike, play bingo and cards. Ruth is survived by her sister: Hazel Ridge and her husband, Dwight of Connersville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert McAfee, who died in 1967; her second husband, “Red” Morgason, who died in 1973; two brothers: Lloyd and Edward Hahn; a sister: Loretta Lewis; a half-brother: John Wolferst; a half-sister: Louise Dunn and a nephew: Raymond Ridge. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Monsignor J.J. Riedman of Connersville, officiating. Interment will follow in Village Creek Cemetery, Fayette County.
