Ryan Joy

Ryan Joy, 40, of Connersville, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Reid Health in Richmond. Ryan was born April 25, 1976, in Killeen, Texas, to David L. and Linda Binder Joy. In 1995, he graduated from Connersville High School and later attended Indiana University East. He liked to fish, play pool and launching fireworks. In his leisure time, Ryan enjoyed listening to music. Ryan is survived by his children: Brennan Joy and Rylie Joy, both of Connnersville; aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, Ryan is preceded in death by his sister: Jessica Ann Joy who died in 2001; his paternal grandparents: Bob and Pat Joy; and his maternal grandparents: John “Jack” and Jane Binder. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Eric Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery north of Liberty. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 noon Tuesday until the time of service.
