Sandra Kay Cooper

Sandra Kay Cooper, 68, of Connersville, died Thursday morning, December 5, 2013, at her residence. Sandra was born in Petersburg, October 29, 1945, to Stanley, Sr. and Mary Jane Curry Howard. In 1963, she graduated from Rushville High School. Sandra was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was very passionate about her love of the Lord and sharing His word. She enjoyed time with her family, tending her plants and was an avid reader. Sandra is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Amy Bryant and Chuck of Laurel, Kim McEvoy and Jim of Manheim, PA; Katherine Burnett and Stephen of Rushville; Allison Waddell and Robert of Connersville; her Mother: Mary Jane Howard of Connersville; twelve grandchildren: Amber, Blake, Hannah and Elijah Bryant; Jordan and Justin McEnvoy; Sierra Sisco, Isaiah and Indya Burnett; Skylar and Drake Cooper, Chelcey Waddell; two great-grandchildren; brothers and their wives: Rev. Don Howard and Candace of Lawton, OK; Stanley Howard, Jr. and Linda of Connersville; several nieces and nephews. Sandra’s father and her sister: Marilyn Workman, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Reverend Gene Ott of Bethany Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service.
