Sara Montgomery

Sara Ann Montgomery, 13, of Brownsville, died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Sara was born in Richmond on January 23, 2003, to Mark and Carla Mann Montgomery. Sara attended school at Liberty Elementary and Hoosier Academy. She was a member of the Oxford Baptist Church. Sara was a very active Cadet in Girl Scout Troop 20242 of College Corner where she earned the Silver Award and loved selling Girl Scout cookies. She was a member of the Brookville Lakers/Special Clovers 4 H in Brookville. Sara loved the bright colors of the rainbow and the family request those attending the visitation and funeral to wear bright colors in her memory. In addition to her parents, Sara is survived by a sister: Cara Jo Montgomery of Brownsville; Paternal Grandparents: Vance and Carol Montgomery of Richmond; Maternal grandfather: Carl Mann of Richmond; five aunts: Jill Renee Montgomery, Anna Dean; Stella Mann, Karen Nabors and husband Ken, Joanie Clark; and Sara’s cat, named Princess. Sara was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Roseanna Mann and an uncle, Robert Dean. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at the Oxford Baptist Church, 4111 Trenton Oxford Road, Oxford, Ohio, with Pastors Rudy Allen of Oxford Baptist Church and David Haameyer of the East River Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery in Liberty, Indiana. Friends may visit from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016, at Oxford Baptist Church where memorial contributions may be made in Sara’s memory to Joni and Friends Family Retreat Scholarship~ 410 S.
