Shirley M. Klein, 87, of Liberty, died Monday morning, March 25, 2013 at Golden Rule Living Center in Richmond.
A Preble County, Ohio native, Shirley was born on November, 20th 1925, to Herbert and Mary McDivitt Huntington and attended College Corner schools. During the war, she was employed at REX Manufacturing in Connersville and later Decca Records in Richmond. Shirley was an Avon representative for twenty years. She and her husband, Bertrand, also owned and operated Klein Fur Shop from their home. Shirley was member of the Liberty Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Share and Pray group.
Shirley is survived by two sons: Donald Klein and his wife, Carol of Cental, South Carolina; Malcolm Klein of Richmond; her brother: Jerry Huntington and his wife, Cathy of Richmond; two sisters: Anna Revalee of Georgia and Joan Brown of Mississippi. Four grandchildren; Jason Klein, Benjamin Klein, Tracy Wellman, Kelli Thompson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Bertrand D. Klein, who died August 23, 1998; and six brothers: Tom, Donald, Jim, Charles, Harry and Bob Huntington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, with Pastor David Soper of the Liberty Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow in West Point Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Friday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Church of Christ.
