Shirley M Schneider

Shirley Schneider, 67, of Brownsville, died on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Reid Health in Richmond. Shirley was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on June 29, 1949, to Donald and Pearl Widau Sayers. On September 17, 1965, Shirley married Ronald Schneider in Connersville, Indiana. Shirley graduated from Ivy Tech and worked in the OB Department at Fayette Regional for over thirty years retiring in May 2014. Shirley attended the Everton Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed her flowers, her grandkids, and her dogs. Shirley really enjoyed being on the farm and just sitting on the back porch drinking her coffee. In addition to her husband of fifty-one years, Shirley is survived by three children and their spouses: Greg Schneider and Tina of Brownsville, Stephanie Rowe and Jerry of Everton, and Melissa Price and fiancé Martin of Brownsville; a brother: Larry Sayer of Florida; a sister: Barbara Harvey and fiancé Clayton of Cottage Grove; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Bill, Donnie, and Tom Sayers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty with Rev. Freddie Helton of the Everton Southern Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery.
