Snowden Isaacs, 70, of Connersville, died Sunday, September 2, 2012, at his residence.
Snowden was a native of Foxtown, Jackson County, Kentucky, born March 29, 1942 to Herbert and Alice Gabbard Isaacs and attended school there. He retired from Visteon where he had operated a forklift for many years. Following retirement, he had worked at Admiral Gas and The Chrome Grill where he nurtured many close friendships. Snowden enjoyed league bowling, playing cards and visiting the local casinos.
Snowden is survived by seven children: Greg Isaacs, Marie Moore and her husband, Darrin; Cassandra Messer, Marcus Isaacs, all of Connersville; Aaron Isaacs of Georgetown, Martina Chomel and her husband, Rick of Connersville; Shane Isaacs of Georgetown; seventeen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a brother: Chester Isaacs and his wife, Myrtle of Foxtown, Kentucky; two sisters: Geraldine Estes, Violet Cain and her husband, Virgil of Foxtown, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Snowden was preceded in death by a sister: Corenna McKinney and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor John Reynolds of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
