Stephen L Herron

Connersville native Stephen “Stubby” Herron, 45, died Monday, December 21, 2020 following a lifelong battle with his health. Steve was born to Don B. and Linda Ledford Herron on March 2, 1975. He graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1993, and furthered his education at Grace College. Steve attended First Church of the Nazarene with his parents prior to attending Blooming Grove Christian Church. More recently, he attended New Hope Tabernacle in Connersville. Steve enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and walking with his special canine companion, Miles. Above all, he adored spending time with his family, whom he loved deeply. Though he faced many struggles, Steve found strength in his faith and belief in Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him. In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by his loving significant other: Falisha Durham; Son: Collin Herron; Daughter: Brooke Cassidy and her husband Kevin all of Connersville; brother: Jeff Herron and wife Shanna of Mentone, Indiana; sister: Tracy Herron of Connersville; brother-in-law: John Mahuron of Connersville; grandchildren: Kinley, Collin, and Nolan Cassidy; nieces and nephews: Maggie, Benjamin, and Lily Herron, Kayla and Krystyna Lafollette, and Zachary Schoenfeld; several great nieces and nephews and many friends. Steve is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Gladstone and Helen Herron; Maternal Grandfather: Jesse Ledford; Maternal grandmother: Leola Ledford Rensink and Victor; Sister: Tama Mahuron; Aunt Diane; his faithful canine: Miles.
