Steve Trieschman, 64, of Connersville, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his residence.
Steve, a New Castle, Indiana native, was born November 4, 1952 to Frederick Rolland and Patricia Ann Shaw Trieschman and graduated from New Castle High School in 1971. At Growing Branches for Christ, Connersville, he married the former, Phyllis Moffitt on May 22, 2004. Steve and Phyllis met while employed at Meridian Automotive, Shelbyville, where he focused on the process set up for the automotive injection molds manufactured. In 2014, Steve retired from Kroger; he was the wine and spirits specialist. He was a proud supporter of the National Rifle Association and appreciated the moments spent hunting deer or bird game with his son. Steve loved grilling out with his family, riding motorcycles and watching football, especially when the Broncos played. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching John Wayne movies and challenging his friends and family to a game of chess.
Steve is survived by his wife, Phyllis Trieschman; his children and spouses: Mike Richmond and Nicole of Connersville; Misty Storey and Jeff of Shelbyville; Kevin Duncan and Becca of Connersville; his sister and her companion: Rebekah Trieschman and Mary Hynes of New Castle; his eight grandchildren: Michael Brett, Chloe, Zayden, Skyler, Alexis, Peyton, Johnathon “The Duke” and Lynana; two nephews: Ryan and Aaron Trieschman; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Debbie and Pat of Connersville; Mary Trieschman of New Castle; Kenny Barrett and Cindy, of Indianapolis; several friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Michael Trieschman.
Funeral services for Steve will be conducted 12 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2017, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Eric Hopkins officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday where memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Society or Margaret Mary Health Hospice.
