Terry E. Dare, 73, of Liberty, died on Monday, May 26, 2014, at McCullough Hyde Hospital in Oxford.
Terry was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on Sunday, November 10, 1940, to Mark and Thelma Dare. He attended College Corner Schools and was a 1958 graduate of College Corner High School. On Friday, August 20, 1976, Terry married Susan Dils at the Presbyterian Church in Liberty.
Terry was a member of College Corner Knights Auto Club, Wayne County CB Club Inc., College Corner Community Club, the Gold Wing Road Riders and served as their Area Representative for seven years. He also donated over 22 gallons of blood at the local blood bank. Terry enjoyed line dancing with Susan and riding his motorcycle.
Besides his wife, Terry is survived by two sons, Terry Joe Dare (Trisha Witham) and Mark Justin Dare both of Liberty; a daughter-in-law, Nikki Earlywine; five grandchildren: Emily Dare, Joseph (Kelsey) Dare, Caleb, Jeremy, and Josh Earlywine; and two great-grandchildren, Karsyn Ball and Jamison Dare.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and a step-son Chris Earlywine.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, with burial following in Elkhorn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 30, where memorial contributions may be made to the College Corner Volunteer Fire Department.
