Terry Gene Hobbs

Terry G. Hobbs, 68, of Connersville, died Wednesday morning, August 24, 2016, at his residence. Terry was a native of Richmond, born May 10, 1948 to Walter and June Pierce Hobbs and attended New Salem High School in Rush County. In 2003, he retired from Visteon as a fork lift drive after 31 years of service. He also worked at Krogers for several years following retirement. Terry enjoyed collecting various types of clocks. He formerly was a member of the Moose and AMVETS. Terry is survived by his daughter: Sarah Hobbs of New Castle; his grandson: Dustin Hobbs of New Castle; his brother and sister-in-law: Gary Hobbs and Nell of Connersville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Terry was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Roger Branson of the Church of Christ in Connersville, officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Burial Grounds in Rush County. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 to 1 Saturday where memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
