Thomas Steven Day

Thomas S. “Tommy” Day, 49, of San Diego, California and Connersville native, died Monday, March 5, 2018, at his residence. Tommy was the son of William Eugene and Virginia Reece Day, born April 20, 1968. He attended Connersville High School and was a member of the Trinity Praise and Worship Center. He was a hard worker and had been employed as a truck driver at One Source Transfer in Greensburg and had worked construction with his Uncle Eugene at Reece and Son Construction. Tommy was a very loyal person, always ready to dedicate help to others without reason. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. In his leisure time, he liked fishing, hunting and had enjoyed golfing while living in California. Tommy is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Bostic, whom he married October 9, 1993; his mother: Virginia Day-Ables of Connersville; his children: Tyler Day, Kali Ginter and Autumn Day Walker and her husband, Lucas, all of San Diego, California; his grandchildren: Kendra Ballesteros, Kaiden and Carina Ginter; his sister: Tracy Wells and her husband, Danny of Connersville; two nieces: Kellsey Day and Catey Wells; step-brothers: Rick Ables of Dayton, Ohio, Rod Ables of Germantown, Ohio; a step-sister: Rhonda Miller and her husband, Eric of Springboro, Ohio; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, his son: Cory Ginter; his brother: Bobby Eugene Day; and his step-father: Roy Ables. A Celebration of Tommy’s Life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Trinity Praise and Worship Center, 643 West 18th Street, Connersville, with Pastor Larry Horn officiating. Interment will follow in Village Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018.
