Liberty

Trois Jean Williams Hays passed away peacefully on the morning of April 5, 2018 in Noblesville, Indiana. She lived most of her life in Liberty with her husband, Dr. Millard E. Hays. Trois was born March 14, 1931 to Dr. Newcomb Leslie Williams, D.V.M. and Marie Witter Williams, both of College Corner, Ohio. Trois graduated from College Corner High School in 1949, entered Miami University that autumn and graduated from the School of Education in the summer of 1952. She taught the next school year in Columbus, Ohio, teaching first grade. Trois received her Master’s in Education from Ball State University in 1970 and taught for over twenty-seven years at Liberty Elementary School. On December 20, 1952 Trois married Millard E. Hays of Liberty, Indiana. Trois was teaching First Grade in the old Indianola School in Columbus, Ohio. Trois and Millard had two sons, Brad Hays (Lisa) from Noblesville and John Hays (Gwen) also from Noblesville. They are the loving grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters, Sarah and Megan Hays both daughters of John and Gwen Hays. Trois was an incredible teacher who had great passion for the development of her Kindergarten students. She remained close to them throughout their lives. Every spring she brought her class out to her home for picnics, play and pony rides. She had an infectious personality and made friends easily. Her love of people was ever present. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all of us. Trois was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. M.E. Hays, her parents, Dr. and Mrs. N.L. Williams, her brothers: Tommy Williams, Jack Williams and Jim Williams, her sisters: Betty Saylor and Cheryl Williams. In her retirement, Trois enjoyed dinners and time visiting with her friends and especially loved visits with her family. They enjoyed their time in Florida where they met many friends and socialized at their condominium complex. Trois and Millard were blessed by an abundance of great friendships throughout life. They have been incredible parents and grandparents for the family and they will be forever loved, missed and remembered.
