Velda M. Hodson Lampman, 81, died Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Heritage House of Connersville. Velda was born February 8, 1939, to Clarence and Rosella Routte Lynch, and was a graduate of Burlington High School. She had previously worked at Mac’s Hamburger from 1964 until 1976. Velda and her first husband, Ronald proudly owned and operated the Downtown Bakery from 1976 until 1991. Velda enjoyed crocheting, baking, cooking, and making stained glass sun catchers along with other items. Velda is survived by her children and their spouses: Teresa Farmer and Daniel, of Connersville; Robert Alan Hodson, of Missouri; Rhonda Baker, of Greensburg; MSgt USAF Ret Thomas B. Hodson and Patricia, of Bellevue, Nebraska; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a sister: Phyllis Parrish, of Maine; a step sister: Joann Shafer, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband: Ronald; her second husband: John who died January 30, 2020; and two grandchildren. There will be no public services following cremation. Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or the Fayette County Cancer Society.
