Verdie “Pearl” Robinson, 82, of Bath, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Pearl was born on December 27, 1940, in Beattyville, Kentucky, to parents David and Flora Fox McIntosh. She married Arthur Glenn Robinson on October 5, 1957, with whom she shared sixty-two years of marriage until his passing in 2019. She was an original pioneer of the self-sufficient homestead, managing an organic one-acre garden, caring for livestock, hand-milking cows, and canning the harvest. Pearl was not only a provider but a selfless prayer warrior, constantly lifting up friends and family in prayer and putting the needs of others before herself. Her unwavering faith was a guiding light throughout her life.
In addition to her husband and parents, Pearl is preceded in death by her sons, Larry Duane Robinson and Steven Wesley Robinson, as well as 11 brothers and sisters.
Pearl is survived by her loving children: Pamela Jean Robinson, Arthur Daniel Robinson III, Matthew Glenn Robinson, and his wife Debbie, and Mary Margaret Robinson and her husband Jeff Ruiz. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Pearl's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home in College Corner, Ohio, with Pastor Kyle Allen officiating. Visitation will be conducted from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in College Corner Cemetery. After the Graveside Service, all family and friends are invited to a Social Gathering in Remembrance of Pearl at The Junction in College Corner.
