Virginia R. Walton, 78, of Liberty died Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Reid Hospital in Richmond.
Virginia was born in Dublin, Indiana, on March 17, 1936, to John and Bessie Blanche McGee Haywood Fields. She was a homemaker and also did babysitting in her home. Virginia was a member of the Oxford First Christian Church. She loved being with her family, working Hidden Word Puzzles, and listening to Gaither music.
Virginia is survived by three daughters: Brenda Joyce Healy and husband Edward, Patricia Ann Beckett, and Karen Sue Leonard and husband Kirby, all of Liberty; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, J. B. Walton in 1985, her second husband, Rice Walton in 2013, three brothers: Paul Haywood Fields, Charles Burton Fields, and George Isaac Fields; and one sister, Marie Rummel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty with Minister John Witt of the Oxford First Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in West Point Cemetery.
