Vivian Nora Mcquinley

Vivian Nora McQuinley, 91, of Mitchell, succumbed to a variety of illnesses on Thursday morning, October 3, 2013, at Westview Nursing Facility, Bedford, while surrounded by family and friends. Nora was born March 23, 1922 in Robbins, Tennessee, to Fred and Gracie Mae Barger Willoughby. On August 28, 1948, she was married in Hamilton, Ohio, to Henry Carter McQuinley who died August 15, 2000. They had traveled to all of the fifty states and seven foreign countries. Nora enjoyed listening to music, but most of all she enjoyed her family. A regular attendee of Orchard Valley Community Church in Aurora, Illinois, Nora was baptized in September 2002. Nora is survived by her daughter: Florence Lewis and Bert Bonotto of Mitchell; two sons: Marshall McQuinley and his wife, Connie of Sheridan, Illinois; Lawrence Smith of Lakeland, Florida; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Betty Carpenter of Henderson, Nevada; Frances Cook of Hamilton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband of 52 years, Nora was also preceded in death by a great-great-grandson, Eli. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 noon Tuesday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to Indiana University Alzheimer Research.
