Wanda M. Waters

Wanda M. Waters, 80, of Connersville, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. A Clay County, Kentucky native, Wanda was the daughter of Robert and Sarah Susan “Suddie” Hall Townsend, born March 9, 1935. She was a 1955 graduate of Connersville High School. On June 1, 1956, she was married to Charles M. Waters who died May 27, 2005. She was a member of the Greater Vision Church and loved to crochet. Wanda was an Avon sales representative for over 22 years and was a member of the Avon Presidents Club. She had been employed throughout the area including, McQuay-Norris, Lincoln Centers and Hickory Creek Nursing Home. Wanda is survived by her daughter: Katherine S. Waters of Connersville; her siblings and their spouses: Oliver Ray Townsend and Carol, Lonnie Clay Townsend and Vicky, all of Surprise, Arizona; Renie Faye Caldwell and James of Connersville, Teresa Kay Kelley and James of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Vivian Ann Frost and Dillon, Karen Sue Howery and Gary, all of Indianapolis; Sharon Lou Frost and Kenneth of Greenfield, Gregory Allen Townsend and Kathy of Sheridan; a daughter-in-law: Michelle Waters of Connersville; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda is preceded in death by her daughter: Juanita Gayle Waters and two sons: Kevin W. Waters and Kenneth M. Waters. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Wanda’s brother-in-law, James Kelley, officiating. Interment will follow in Bentonville Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 noon Thursday until the time of service.James Kelley, officiating.
