William "Bill" Earlywine

William C. ”Bill” Earlywine, 89, of Connersville, died early Saturday morning, September 8, 2018, at Heritage House of Connersville. Bill was born in Cynthiana, Kentucky, February 26, 1929, to Ollie Clay and Bertha Richey Earlywine. On August 25, 1946, he was married in Sugar Valley, Ohio, to the former Phyllis J. Hanson. Bill had served as a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church and was currently a member of Rays Crossing Christian Union Church in Shelby County. Bill is survived by his wife of 72 years, Phyllis J. Earlywine; ten children and their spouses: Dianna Housman and Stan of Connersville, Larry W. Earlywine and Teresa of Columbus; Wanda Crabtree, Steven C. Earlywine and Mary, all of Connersville; David E. Earlywine and Wanda of Lafayette, twins: Martin G. Earlywine, Ronald D. Earlywine and Tammy, all of Connersville; James A. Earlywine and Karen of Cynthiana, Kentucky; Tammy Harsh and Marty of Glenwood; Elizabeth Earlywine of Connersville; his siblings and their spouses: Doyt Earlywine of North Vernon, Mildred Christ and Tom of Georgia, Betty Moistner and Les of Centerville; 25 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and four brothers: Earl, Howard, Robert and Paul Earlywine. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2018, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Bill’s son, Pastor James A. Earlywine, officiating. Interment will follow in Valley Grove Cemetery in Wayne County.
