William Lee Broyles

William Lee Broyles, 75 of Connersville, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Bill was born November 11, 1948, in Connersville, Indiana to James R. and Ruby Wilson Broyles. He was a 1966 graduate of Connersville High School. In 1968, Bill was inducted into the U.S. Army and was assigned to the Eighth Army Division, 547th Engineer Company. After his honorable discharge in 1970, Bill worked for H H Robinson for 20 years. Then he began working for the Highway Department retiring in 2012. Bill loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He liked anything to do with cars, motorcycles and he was an avid NASCAR fan. Bill knew the Lord and had attended Baptist Temple. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Faussett Broyles; daughter, Julie (Rob) Allen of Connersville; two grandchildren, Brenner Boggs of Connersville and Caitlin (Chris) Werking of Hagerstown; brothers, James (Judy) Broyles of Virginia, Steven Broyles of Shelbyville, Leslie Charles Broyles of Shelbyville and Michael Broyles of Bloomington; niece, Tara Broyles of Connersville, many other extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Broyles; brother, Dave Broyles and niece, Tiffany Broyles. Bill said the following: “Boo Boo was the best thing to ever happen to me, except for you Julie. Dad” and “Can’t get anything past Brenner. Caitlin is so gullible she will laugh at all my jokes. I love it. I have the best grandkids, they are so smart I am so proud. Papaw” Private services for William Lee Broyles will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Dale Cemetery.
