William “Virgle” Moore, 75, died Saturday, June 1st , 2013 at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio surrounded by his family.
Virgle was born January 13th 1938 in Bath, to Walter, Sr. and Rosalie Perkins Moore. He grew up in Union County and on August 15th 1959, he married the former, Betty Davis. They resided in Liberty and had two daughters, Cindy and Vicky. Virgle served in the United States Army Reserve for one term. Virgle worked for Whitewater Valley REMC for 37 years. After retirement you could find him at Whites Flea Market on Wednesday and at Yard Sales every weekend. Virgle enjoyed playing cards, yard sales, working in his yard, and spending time with family and friends.
Virgle is survived by his wife of over 53 Years; two daughters: Cindy Crane of Liberty and Vicky Pfledderer and her husband, Scott of Ansonia; his grandchildren and their spouses: Tisha Donovan; Rachel Dunn and Rick, all of Liberty; Nick Stout and Cory of Milton; Levy Stout and Ashley of Whitestown; Sarah Alcorn and Michael; Zack Stout and his fiancé, Kayla Walters, all of Liberty; great-grandchildren: Tyler Dunn, Cameron Donovan, Amanda Dunn, Laine Stout, Hannah Dunn, Waylon Alcorn, Karlee Stout, Emma Jackson and Grace Stout; his siblings: Mildred Allen, Dayton, OH; James Moore, Oxford, OH; Mary Jane Lantz, Goshen; Harold Frame, Cambridge City; Kathy Havens, Richmond; Jane Darden, Riverside, CA; Shirley Lakes, Connersville; Gary Moore, Gatlinburg, TN; his sister-in-law: Jody Templeton, Walkerton; his brother-in-law: Dave Ramey, Liberty; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Virgle was preceded in death by his stepmother: Lillie Wilson Moore; two brothers: Walter Moore Jr. and Dale Long; his son-in-law: Keith Crane; sister-in-law: Carol Ramey and his brother-in-law: William Templeton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery north of Liberty.
