Willis N. Kidd

Mr. Willis N. Kidd, 84, of Connersville, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, October. 10, 2021. Willis was born to Forest and Gladys (Cully) Kidd on March 9, 1937 in Alquina, Indiana. He graduated from Alquina High School in 1955 and promptly joined the Air Force where he proudly served his country for four years. While serving in the Air Force, Willis was stationed in Texas, Mississippi and Georgia. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, Willis secured employment at Rex Manufacturing, later Visteon, working as a Laboratory Technician. He spent his entire working career there, retiring in 1999. Willis loved hunting and was an avid gun collector. He was a big fan of auto racing and enjoyed watching western movies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Willis will be missed by all that know and love him. Willis is survived by one daughter, Deborah Kidd; one son Albert Kidd; one grandson Derek Kidd and his sister Norma Corder all of Connersville, Indiana. Willis was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Linda (Herbst) Kidd, one brother, Forest Kidd and his sister, Bernice Hobbs. Friends may gather at Dale Cemetery for graveside services, which will be held on Friday, October, 15, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Alquina Blue Arrows Park in Willis’s memory.
