Wilma J Mclean

Wilma J. McLean, 95, of Connersville, died Friday, June 30, 2017, at Heritage House of Connersville. Wilma was born in Seymour, October 4, 1921, the only child of Sheldon and Mabel Spear Van Hoy. She graduated from high school in Seymour and attended business college. On July 7, 1948, she married Byron McLean who died September 27, 1979. Wilma had been employed at the Jackson County Loan and Trust Company in Seymour and retired in 1986 after many years at Fayette Bank and Trust. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she had served as an elder and a deacon. Wilma had also been active in Tri Kappa Sorority, Coterie Club and Fayette Memorial Hospital Guild. Wilma is survived by her son: Michael S. McLean of Dallas, Texas and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. Judy Fitchett officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 to 1 p.m. Saturday where memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or to the Fayette County Foundation.
